The State Opera is located in the capital city of Prague. More precisely, it can be found at 4 Wilsonova Street, near the National Museum. You can get there by tram No. 11 or No. 13 and get off at the Muzeum stop.

The State Opera House reopened to the public on 5 January 2020 after the theatre building was renovated. The theatre was built in the 1880s by the German community of Prague in response to the opening of the Czech National Theatre. The old Estates Theatre was no longer enough for the German scene. The State Opera is one of the four stages of the National Theatre. It includes the National Theatre, the Estates Theatre, the New Stage and the State Opera.
